To be perfectly honest (and it's not about feeling sorry for myself) ever since my mom was diagnosed alheimer's, there's not a traditional holiday i really enjoy, as she was so good at them, and they just don't hold the same value for me any more. i imagine if I had children that would feel differently. but until i do, i don't. i prefer that answer really.
so i would say, because of that, I think of any time i get to do something special outside as my holidays...that's the honest truth.
here's a photo of me climbing the grand with my friend ben. that felt like a really festive experience i wanted to share.
