How far away from your birthplace do you live now? (inspired from a fb post)

So on Tuesday the question: How far away from your birthplace do you live now came up on facebook and I must say i saw a lot of answers i was not expecting.  I noticed a lot of people have moved quite a bit and far from their home town, so on that note... I decided to pitch in a write a blog post.

The where I live question: i currently am basing out of the west village of new york, but am soon headed to a short stint in the tetons to work on a little stop-motion video (and hopefully see some special friends). i officially reside in washington state, as I have some family responsibilities with a mother with alzheimer's who lives on whidbey island there. my car is registered in wyoming, and i rent out a place in boulder so i can still stay there from time to time. is home where your therapist lives? cause he's in boulder. i ask you.

i'm originally from Corona del Mar, California. And while the place catches a lot of heat for being known of the most externally-oriented places on the planet, I will beg to differ that you can find soulful people anywhere. Newport among em. And well, the chances of these lovely individuals just possibly having a newly shaped nose or above average sized implants, well that's just comes with the territory. But here's why I will always return: the smell of the sage in that stretch of coast between Newport and Laguna. And night blooming jasmine on evening walks. Tacos at Wahoo's, and the sound of crashing waves at the Wedge.

And what's not to love about getting the best beachy hair highlights in the world from a woman named Anja?

Hope you enjoyed it and feel free to share your thoughts or maybe even your own story!
